What's my gap?
After many thoughts, my project gap to fill regards the fight I have with my dovet cover every time I change it. I guess it's just a numbers problem, since I'm a 160cm-tall person with 150cm scope standing with my arms extended and the smallest duvet is 150x220cm for a 90cm individual bed.
Taking into account that I'm an average woman and I already have difficulties... It opened my eyes when I saw my mother trying to reach the corners of the duvet into the cover.

Besides,
Develope an artifact that fills the gap of managing the duvet cover every time it's changed
- I personally experience the gap and want to solve the design problem
- I have access to at least five people who also experience the gap.
- The challenge is not so complex that I cannot imagine addressing it in this course.
- I can imagine the gap being addressed by an artifact in a product design scope.

Problem redefinition (Five Whys)
After using the 5Whys method, I have change the point of view looking at the gap from a different angle:
Updated definition--> a way to save time and effort while changing the duvet covers (*)
So, in what way might I save time and effort changing the duvet covers?
To answer that question I have asked some users with the same problem about their experiences changing the duvet covers...

User needs
After my interviews, I realized that there are at least 3 ways of solving the problem.
Some people suggested to improve the union system between duvet and cover, other segment, to change the cover design, and finally, a third party thought that they could need an extra artifact.
But at this point, I don't want to narrow my path, so it's all about improving the experience of changing the duvet cover.
Thanks to the interviews and the forms, I've collected a few latent needs, some of them quite interesting... my mind is already creating concepts:

- Even difficulty for every size
- It doesn't involve lifting the arms
- Interactive / When should I change it (children)
- Fun for children.
Concepts
I'm having a mixure of feelings regarding thin point of the project... I had in my mind an artifact to ease the way of addresing the duvet into the cover, but during the interviews, changes to the duvet/ covers were introduced... so now, I'm in the middle of a crossroad...
I've used the sequence of user actions as the decomposition method.
I've used the sequence of user actions as the decomposition method.
- Take the duvet cover off
- Present the new one (inside out) to the duvet
- Marry and fix the corners
- Turn the cover the right way out
- Finally fit the duvet into the cover
I've also taken into account the latent needs listed before.
